Our Chef, Belvonno Johnson is native to the Norfolk area graduating from Maury High School. He continued, his education at Johnson & Wales Culinary Institute in Providence, Rhode Island to pursue a degree in the culinary arts. After graduating Belvonno began moving his way up from Prep Cook to Garde Manager to Chef at Old Country Buffet. Later he worked for the Marriott Waterside Hotel as the Chef of Fine Dinning and the sports bar restaurant. Wanting to expand his horizon and be more creative with his recipes he jumped at the opportunity to be the Chef here at Monarch Sports Grille.
