The Recovery Room Sports Grill concept was born in Albany, N.Y. The original restaurant is located in the HIlton Garden Inn and other Recovery Room Restaurants are in development in Troy, N.Y. and Florida
When the Old Dominion University Village project was developed, it was only natural we bring this concept to Virginia and mold it to our site and our region. From eye catching decor to the comfortable tables and patio, we custom designed a sports bar and grill with you - the sports fan - in mind. Our sports memorabilia was picked out to initate constant conversation, bring back fond memories, and to create excitement, so we became the best Sports Bar in the Tidewater area. Making it personal to the ODU campus led us to select Monarch Sports Grille as our name. Tying it to the original restaurant was equally important - thus the red “swoosh” in our logo and throughout the restaurant intermingling with our local colors.
This is a family restaurant for sports enthusiasts who enjoy watching live sports combined with excellent and affordable dining. With mulitple TV and HD satellite receptions, this is the place to be for every sports fan! There is not a bad seat in the house - you won’t miss a play.
